Dutch duo, Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh new artistic directors at Nina Ricci

Dutch designer couple Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh have been appointed as creative directors at Nina Ricci.

Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh will be showing their first collection for the house this year, followed by their debut Fall 2019 runway show in Paris next March.

Botter and Herrebrugh have worked together as designers at their own menswear label, Botter, which earned them the prestigious Grand Prize at the Festival d’Hyères and a finalist spot in this year’s LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.

Inspired by their shared Caribbean heritage, Botter grew up in Curaçao, and Herrebrugh has lived between the Netherlands and the Dominican Republic. Their Hyères show included everything from neon floral suits and fishnet shirts to balloon headpieces in the shape of dolphins.

“We are very honored to be a part of this fantastic project,” Botter and Hurrebrugh added. “We feel very inspired by the fresh and subtle codes that make Nina Ricci such a beautiful ode to femininity. We aim to create a new spirit, a spirit of our times, effortless, sophisticated, and strong.
